Pet Store Puggles
There are two places that you can purchase a Puggle: the pet store or a breeder. There are many people who will tell you that buying a pet store Puggle is a huge mistake. While they may be true in some cases, this is not always factual.
Generally speaking, pet stores get a bad rap because in the past many of them purchased their dogs from puppy mills. In other words, they would buy puppies at low prices from breeders who did not care about the quality of the dog. In turn, unsuspecting buyers would purchase from a store and in turn end up with a dog with medical conditions, a bad temperament, etc.
In today’s day and age, pet stores are more reliable than ever before. This is not to say that you should buy your Puggle from a pet store, but you may want to consider it. Since this breed is increasing in popularity, it is safe to say that your local pet store has at least one Puggle available.
In addition to having to worry about puppy mill dogs, you should also be aware that pet stores charge more money. It is not uncommon for a Puggle to sell for $1,000 or more at the pet store. As long as people continue to buy at this price point, pet stores will continually be able to charge this much money.
As you can see, buying a pet store Puggle is more than possible. It is up to you if you want to take the risk of buying from one of these outlets. And of course, you should also consider the extra money that you will have to spend on a Puggle from a pet store.
