Information on the Puggle Breed of Dog

Common Puggle Facts

Before you buy a Puggle you will want to bone up on some of the more common facts that are associated with this breed. Buying a dog before you know what it has to offer, both pros and cons, is a big mistake. While you will probably love any dog that you buy, it is important to do your homework so that you can avoid any problems.

Here are three common Puggle facts to keep in mind. They should give you a better idea of what this breed has to offer.

1. Most Puggles are not going to weigh anymore than 30 pounds. Since size is very important to most buyers, this is something that you definitely want to keep in mind. Some breeders also sell what are known as pocket Puggles. These are Puggles that are kept smaller by breeding two parents of petite size.

2. The Puggle temperament is one of the biggest benefits. This breed gets along well with children and adults, and has no problem playing outside or cuddling next to you for a nap. If you want a dog that is known for an easy going temperament, this breed is a good place to start.

3.  The Puggle has become very common over the past two years. For this reason, it is not uncommon to come across breeders that are charging entirely too much. Additionally, be aware of “breeders” who are selling as many Puggles as possible. Since this is a popular dog, many people have decided to breed as many puppies as they can as a way of making money. Unfortunately, this leads to a puppy mill situation which can in turn cause temperament problems, etc.

These common Puggle facts should help you decide whether or not this is the right breed for you and your family.
