Information on the Puggle Breed of Dog

Puggle Physical Description

The Puggle physical description is something that you should know all about before you make a final decision on what breed to purchase. There are many features that make the Puggle stand out beyond the other breeds. For this reason, make sure you know all about the Puggle physical description early on in the research process.

First things first, you need to know how big a Puggle is going to get. Generally speaking, your Puggle will weigh somewhere between 15 and 30 pounds; this is just about average. Height wise, you can expect your Puggle to stand just about 13 to 15 inches. This makes for a medium sized dog with a sturdy build. If you have young children who like to roughhouse, it is safe to say that this breed should do just fine.

Keep in mind that many breeders advertise pocket Puggles. These are smaller dogs that are meant to stay under 10 pounds.

Moving on, most Puggles are fawn in color with a black, wrinkled mask. This is the most common color combination, but you may also come across those that seem to be closer to a shade of brown. Although not common, you may also come across a solid black Puggle. A lot of the color has to do with the parents. Obviously, if a black Pug was used for breeding there is a much better chance that the Puggle puppies will be black as well.

For the most part, Puggles have the body of a Pug and the head of a Beagle. This makes for a good looking dog that does not inherit the respiratory problems that go along with the smashed in face of the Pug.

As you can see, there is a lot that goes into the Puggle physical description. And now that you know what these dogs look like and how big they will get, you can make an informed decision on whether or not you should make a purchase.
