Puggle Shedding: Is this a Problem?
One of the main benefits of owning a Puggle is that the breed does not have a long coat that needs clipped on a regular basis. But as you probably know, dogs that do not have long coats shed instead. The question is: is Puggle shedding a huge problem? If you are like most people, you do not want dog hair all over your house.
Generally speaking, a Puggle will not shed nearly as much as a purebred Pug. But with that being said, you will have to deal with some hair from time to time. There are certain times of the year, usually twice, when a Puggle will really shed its coat. During this time, you cannot do much to prevent your Puggle from shedding.
Of course, there are some ways that you can deal with a dog that sheds. First and foremost, make sure that you brush its coat on a regular basis. This will allow you to take care of some of the hair before it makes its way to your floor, couch, or bed. Additionally, bathing your dog will help to remove some of the loose hair.
If your Puggle is shedding on your furniture, the obvious solution is to train the dog to stay on the ground. This way, you can simply run the sweeper when need be in order to pick up all of the loose hair.
Overall, Puggle shedding is not nearly as bad as some other breeds of dog. With that being said, you should be aware that this will happen if you own a Puggle.
