Puggle Grooming: What you need to Know
One of the biggest benefits of owning a Puggle is the fact that this breed does not need groomed as much as others. This is not to say that owning a Puggle is “no maintenance,” but when compared to other dogs, it is definitely an easy to maintain breed as far as grooming is concerned.
The breed’s short coat makes grooming simple. With longer hair dogs, owners need to take them to the groomer approximately once a month to get a clip. With the Puggle breed, this is not the case. Instead, it simply sheds from time to time as a way of replenishing its coat. While this may leave some dog hair around your home, most people agree that shedding is easier to deal with than taking a dog to the groomer. Not to mention the fact that it costs approximately $50 to have a dog’s coat professionally clipped.
Of course, there is more to grooming a dog than cutting its hair. For instance, your Puggle will need bathed from time to time, and its nails need clipped as well. As you can imagine, these are two things that you can do on your own if you have the time. If not, you can always have a professional groomer help you out for a small sum.
All in all, the Puggle is a low maintenance breed when it comes to grooming. If you want to purchase a dog that does not need cut, you will want to consider this breed. For owners who are willing to bathe and clip their dog’s nails, the monetary cost of grooming a Puggle is next to none.
