Housebreaking your Puggle
Just like any breed of dog, housebreaking a Puggle can be difficult. That puppy that you purchase has a lot to do with how quick the housebreaking process will go. Some Puggle owners report no major problems, and others struggle with this task for months on end. Luckily, you are not alone if you are having a difficult time housebreaking your Puggle. There are some tips and tricks that you can implement to make housebreaking your Puggle a bit easier.
First and foremost, you should know that every puppy needs a particular level of housebreaking help. In other words, you cannot expect your dog to start going outside on its own. As a Puggle owner, you need to put a lot of time into this process. Remember, the harder you work, the easier you are going to make things on your dog.
If you have never housetrained a dog before, you may want to pick up some books on the subject. Of course, there is plenty of information to read online as well. The bottom line is that you do not want to start the housebreaking process without any knowledge of what you are doing. This will only set you and your dog back.
One final thing to keep in mind is that the Puggle breed has Beagle in its blood. This means that your dog will constantly have its nose to the ground. In some cases this means that it needs to go to the bathroom, but other times they may simply be trying to pick up a scent. Remember, the Beagle is a hunting dog and tracks animals by their scent.
By putting in the proper amount of time, you will be able to housebreak your Puggle sooner rather than later.
