Puggle Price: What to Expect
Are you interested in buying a Puggle? If so, you should know what you are getting into as far as price is concerned. But remember, the price that you pay for your dog does not necessarily mean anything. With that in mind, what type of Puggle price should you expect when you start shopping around?
Since Puggles are becoming very popular, the price of these dogs is also on the way up. Unfortunately, this is the way that most breeders work. They know that they can charge more for their dogs, so in turn they jack up their prices during these times. While there is nothing wrong with breeders trying to make money, you need to know that not all of them are the same. A high price does not mean that you are dealing with a top notch breeder. And at the same time, a low price does not necessarily mean you are buying from a puppy mill.
Depending on where you live, you should be able to find a Puggle price starting at just about $350 or so. This is only an estimate, but for this breed, the $350 price range seems to be the starting point. Of course, you will come across other breeders that are charging as much as $1,000 or more.
The main reason that breeders will try to charge more for a Puggle is if they are going to be of the pocket variation. More and more people want dogs that they can carry around with them, and that is where the pocket Puggle comes into play. It is not uncommon to find breeders asking more than $1,000 for a smaller Puggle.
All in all, you should keep in mind that a Puggle is not a purebred dog. For this reason it cannot come from champion lines, nor have a long history of AKC success.
If you want this breed of dog, shop around for the Puggle price that is best suited to your pocket book. From there, choose a breeder that is offering reasonable prices as well as dogs that have been well bred and raised in the right way.
